Good enough for $97. We checked in around 9pm and stayed for 1 night on our way to Buffalo. Most of the hotels in this area are $150+. The hotel and room are out dated a bit and there are some interesting smells throughout the building, but the bed was comfortable and there is a mini fridge and microwave. The breakfast consisted of muffins, toast, bagels, fruit, cereal and a make your own waffle station. The coffee was surprisingly good.
Poorly cared for hotel. It is what appears to be an old large grand hotel. However, this place is very worn, which is not a problem but it is also dirty and dark. This property welcomes you with a caution sign which should be your first warning. The rooms are dirty. The furniture in the rooms -also dirty and stained. My door did not shut well. I did not feel safe in this hotel as a result. Limited breakfast offerings, however were the hotel improved and clean, that would not bother me. I would not stay here again and would not recommend. Renovations and cleaning needed! This place has the potential to be a nice hotel and venue but clearly needs TLC. Not what I expected from the Wyndham hotel group.
UPDATE TO MANAGER RESPONSE: Please see below screenshot of my bank statement. I have yet to receive any receipts or emails from this hotel showing only $79.30 was charged, so here is my proof that I was overcharged. A dispute was filed with my bank given no one was willing to help look into this error (and the "property manager" told me to reach out to my bank to correct) and the bank doesn't see any pending refunds for the $100. I can't stress this enough, please do not stay here. It's not worth it. If traveling through Williamsport, good location. However, please be aware of this site. The "acting manager" is not honest and will not help with any issues you encounter. You call Customer Care department, and they tell you that you need to speak to the property directly. However, that is not possible because he simply doesn't care and will just tell you that you are ignorant and wrong. This location charged me $279.30 (this includes the incidental charge of $100). The room was $79.30 but $179.30 cleared my bank account; the $100 incidental fee was showing pending and fell off 4 business days later. The "property manager" has no interest in looking into this issue, just continues to claim that he did not overcharge and does not see the extra $100 in their system. So, did he pocket that money? He offered to email me, and I said sure because then I will be forwarding my bank statement, and he hung up on me. I have been trying to fight this for 3 days now.
We stayed there for multiple nights to attend the Little League Baseball World Series. The entire building and facilities were deeply in need of renovation. The parking lots were great with a small flower garden. The carpet on the hallways and even in our room on the third floor had a unpleasant humid smell. Upon entering the room, there was no light in the entrance area. The bed and furniture looked normal. The fridge, the microwave, and the coffee machine were in place and working as expected. The air conditioner was very loud. The motion sensor in bathroom did not work well. It was either off I was still in the bathroom, or did not go off long minutes after I left the bathroom. The toilet was quite small, and felt even smaller than the round one at home. The water stopper in the vanity sink did not go down and up. The bath tub had three knots to control hot water, where water came out, and cold water, which was extremely difficult to find the best water flow at the proper temperature. Both room door and bathroom door were hard to close firmly. We heard the loud conversations from next door, which was quite noisy every single night even through midnight. The breakfast was poor compared to the daily price. It did not even have any hot oatmeal. The only fruits were apples.
UPDATE: spoke to a manager from the 800 number and said they would email me so I have their email and asked for me to send a copy of my statement to them. Still have not received the email. "Manager" from property tried calling when I was on with the 800 number. Left message again stating they did not over charge and never asking to look into this. This is not my first time staying at a hotel (I've also worked for one), so very familiar with policies. The $100 incidental fee showed pending and fell off day 5. The $179.30 still remains and cleared my bank account. The "manager" from the site hung up on me when I told him to email me my receipt and I'll forward my bank statement. Not sure where we think the miscommunication is stemming from when I clearly stated the incidental fee of $100 already fell off and never cleared my bank. If they aren't showing an overage charge in their system, did the "manager" pocket the extra $100?!?! If I could give this a negative star I would. My husband and I checked in at 10:15pm on 9/15 for $79.30 for the night. We checked out by 6am the following morning. I checked my bank account 3 days later to see two charges; $100 and $179.30. I called the property the the "manager" was not willing to help or offer to look into our issue. He kept saying he'll send me the receipt and the $100 will fall off in 5-7 business days. He said he'll send me the receipt via email and I said great I'll share my bank statement showing the charges and he hung up on me. I called the 800 number and filed a complaint. Fast forward to day 6, I followed up with the property again and spoke with the "manager" on duty. Again I can't provide his name bc he changes it every time I call in. He again refused to look into this and said he didn't overcharge and he'll send me the receipt without even offering to look into that possibly a mistake was made. To say I'm frustrated does not begin to explain how I feel. Please do not give this location any business. It's run down, smells, bathroom is stained. Most importantly the property is not willing to put in the effort to help resolve mistakes that happen.
