I took my son for a night away. The pool was great! Excellent slide. He had a blast. A little pricey for the area. But the rooms were clean and the pool was very fun!
We (2 adults, 2 kids) have stayed at this location before back in April 2024, and the great front desk customer service, the cleanliness, and pool with a water slide is what brought us back. Yet this time around, it seemed that the few front desk interactions we had seemed "cold" and cut short. We stayed for 3 nights, Nov 2024, from Friday to Monday, and let me say that the breakfast staff are so kind and welcoming and kept everything stocked and clean. Now, our check-in was quick and the first 'cold' interaction. We were the only ones in the lobby at 8 pm and 7yo son was very excited telling the employee that he recognized the hotel and that "he loved Fairfield" he knew there was a slide at this hotel..she didn't even smiled back. I repeated what he said in case she didn't understand him as he was talking so fast to what she just said, "hum." Right there, I knew she wanted to be done checking us in, and it made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. I addressed my son and told him that she was busy and that she knew he was happy. The next day I asked to be let in into the pool area and before I finished talking the front desk lady cut me short before I could finish my sentence and asked if I had filled the form (this hotel has you sign a waver). On Sunday, around noon I went to the front desk to ask if I could have late check out the next day, I am a Gold elite member and based on availability can have up to a 2pm late check out, again the lady cut me short as soon as she heard the word "late", and without looking up my account or anything said "no, we don't have any" I continued and said my room number and that I wanted to see if a 1pm late chekout was available, that's when, I guess she look at my account and told me she could do 12 pm. She said, "we are extremely busy on Mondays." I told her I would take it and thanked her. I'm not sure what happened this time around, but the service from the front desk was nowhere near what we had experienced back in April. Back then, everyone was kind, warm, and attentive. This time, we felt like we were bothering or a nuisance. When we left on Monday there were only my car and two others in the parking lot, and no one in the breakfast area when we went down at 8:30 am. The room was clean. Housekeepers are friendly, and the pool and gym are clean.
Had a reservation for last night. Due to change in plans advised them that I would arriving early morning instead of last night. I requested if they can hold the room for me as i only needed a place for an hour or so for a quick shower, I show up at 7. I am told that the room has been cancelled and i have been charged for full room rate as a no show. But I am here and checkout is 11 so why cant I use the room for 3-4 hours. Extremely rude lady at front desk not willing to listen to anything till I called the corporate number. Never had a problem at Marriotts till this time. Stayed at this particular location multiple times as well but will look into switching brands going forward. Customer service is meant to help when things don’t go as planned. The front desk lady could not help and did not even have the number for the corporate office. Thank you Google. Very very unprofessional staff
Very pleased with the property. One night stay while traveling. Checked in late but were greeted by a very nice gentleman at the desk. Received a free upgrade to a room with a little extra space and did not have to ask. Took the points for the stay, but was offered to take something from the little shop as well if we wanted anything. We did not ,but the gesture was kind. The room was very clean as was the rest of the property. If you’re traveling through on 78 and need a quick place to stay we would recommend this property.
nice rooms, cool pool.. decent breakfast.. all in all a great stay.. parking lot got crowded quickly on weekend. nice area. would definitely stay again.
