My wife and I stayed here one month ago. I feel for all the people leaving terrible reviews. We had the same experience. It is a Dump with a capital D. There was feces on the toilet seat, hair everywhere, cigarette butts thick all over the grounds. I could go on and on. My wife took a lot of pictures. Best Western did not do anything when I complained after we returned home. They gave me a few points in my account. They should be ashamed of the location and of the results I received from my complaint.
This could be an amazing hotel. Some of the woodwork is amazing. BUT, my room was NASTY!! It had in no way, shape, or form been cleaned! Mold in bathroom, BBQ sauce on floor by bed, an old jock strap by chair. We could go on.
The hotel doesn’t have clear signage displayed outside the building; hard to know that you’ve arrived to the correct place - especially at night. The smell of cigarette smoke was extremely strong in the lobby, which made me decide to walk straight out the door and not stay at this hotel, even though I had already paid for 2 nights and all other area hotels were full for Lafayette College family weekend. The lobby decor was dated, the entrance door was faulty, and the desk employee appeared uninterested.
Dirty carpet in the hallways, hair and dirt in the bathroom sink, broken bathroom handle that got me locked inside, stained towel, absolutely stinky microwave. There's not even a sign outside the hotel indicating it's the SureStay Plus, instead the sign has some other (possibly previous) name. Not a family friendly hotel, possibly used as a convention location and cheap motel for overnight travel. We complained to priceline and moved out of this dump within an hour of checking in
We chose this hotel for the pool. My son is too small for a water park so staying in a hotel with one big and one small pool was a great idea. Breakfast included. Gods allowed. The rooms... my pain.. The floor seems to be clean but bread crumbs all over. Someone's hair in bathroom. Black mold. Microwave is clean but fridge is not working properly. No smell though. Bearable...
