We went to cherry springs to stargaze for the Persieds and got a campsite in the state park. The roads weren't paved so my car wouldn't make it. We stopped at the black forest inn to see if there were rooms available, they had none. So we decided to eat there. Told them the situation and they sent us acrossed the street but that campground was closed for the night. The woman that was running the bar called another campground and asked them to stay a little late so we could make it. They weren't even open for tent sites yet, but they made one! I will probably spend every meteor shower in this area from now on. The people are great, and the sky is magnificent, the mountains are pretty great too. 10/10❤️

We came with a motorcycle group for a 4 day weekend. The newer owners are absolutely amazing The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was awesome. Right down to the homemade pies!!! We enjoyed the fire pit, outside bar, corn hole & most of all we enjoyed their hospitality. We won’t stay anywhere else.

Came in for dinner. We have been coming here for years. We were very disappointed this time. This used to be an upscale place to eat in the mountains. Now, you pay upscale prices for embarrassing service and pathetic food. We waited for over an hour for our food, and there were only a few patrons there. I cannot imagine how it would be if they were busy. We ordered shrimp cocktail. It came with salsa instead of cocktail sauce. My husband ordered the special (chicken parm). It came with no red sauce. I ordered a chicken Ceasar salad. The croutons were too hard to bite, and the chicken consisted of small slivers of overcooked, very tough chicken. I ordered a drink. When I asked for a second, the same bartender made me a completely different drink. All this for $87. We won't be back. So sad.
