I began going here when Al's Cleaners on Northampton St closed. There will NEVER be another Al's. I've never had any issues until the most recent time I was there. I have had plants, dresses, & skirts hemmed & jackets altered. Work was great, cost was reasonable. Most recently I took 3 dresses in that I had a friend chalk & pin for me so the requested length was marked on all 3. I should have taken my dresses & walked out when she rang me up. $84 & change. What! I said, I don't need them.dry cleaned too. They can be washed & dried. I just need them hemmed. Dresses are straigh with no texture or lace or anything to work around. Did I miss something? I know the entire world is 5 X more expensive than it eas before CoVid but man.

I dropped off a few of my cherished hats to this alleged professional dry cleaners in the shopping center next to Starbucks. These items are from my time in the Marine Corps, but one in particular that extra sentimental value to me. It belonged to a friend that didn't return home. I very specifically mentioned that these were extremely important to me when dropping them off to the owners niece. I was told it would be ready by Tuesday afternoon.
Upon my return to pick them up two of the 3 were decently cleaned but far from professional. The most important one of all was somehow missing the patch which was with me during my deployments.
The woman whose name is on the card (Connie Park, photo attached) of pretty much told me they lost it and couldn't find it. She even had the audacity to ask me if I was sure it was on it. After repeatedly telling her that it was, which was more than obvious by the discoloration around the obvious shape of the patch (see attached picture) . She completely disregarded my repeated attempts to make it clear that this item was irreplaceable and the sentimental value it had.
Yet it does not end there, she proceeds to ask me if I can just buy another one. No I can't buy another one! The patch isn't even in production anymore even if was it would NEVER be the same!
At this point I'm waiting for a call back to see if they find it in their machine, but by her care free attitude I feel she's just trying to get me out of the store.
Obviously I am very very very upset at how this is being handled and will NEVER return to this place again. Please note that there are other reviews below that have similar experiences as mine. As always I will update this review if anything changes.

After not receiving a call back I went back to the store and was told they couldn't find it. I was offered $20 dollars for compensation which I took and promptly tore up and left on the floor. It was never about the money but to offer that was even more disgusting. Photo attached.

Excellent with alterations!!! Connie is always kind and nice and she works miracles! She has gotten me out of a bind a few times now, with desperately needing last minute alterations for dresses/outfits and she was able to rush them to be ready for events! She is wonderful, and worked with me to make my dress fit perfectly! Also never had any issues with dry cleaning items, it always comes out well! Thank you!

I've been getting my dry cleaning done here for years and have had only positive experiences; my clothes are always perfect when I come to pick them up. They are very prompt and flexible to your schedule. I have had some clothing-ruining mishaps happen at other dry cleaners in the area, but I've never had anything go crazy wrong with any of my clothes here. Of course, I understand that things can go wrong with any dry cleaners which may explain some of the bad reviews. After all, most people only post a review after bad experiences.
In terms of customer service, there is a bit of a language and culture barrier such that some of the usual customer service niceties may get lost in translation. With that being said, the owner always seems to try her best to deliver on quality and feels genuinely bad if anything goes wrong.
The "worst" experience I ever had was that one of my suit jackets went missing for a day or 2 but she called me as soon she found it. On top of that, she kept her store open and extra hour and half exclusively so that I could pick it up after work.
The owner is particularly great at alterations. I wear an uncommon pants size and often have to get either the waist brought in or legs hemmed. She has altered countless pieces of clothing for me to perfection and will even know what I'm going to ask for when I walk in with a new pair of jeans.
Overall, this place is my go-to spot whenever I need my clothes cleaned/altered and I would recommend it to anyone every day of the week.

She worked a miracle for me when I ordered the wrong size bridesmaid dress. She opened up all the seams and gave me 2 inches I desperately need to get the zipper up. I highly recommend this business. Great service and affordable!
